Mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia; Ericaceae) photographs from a June trip to Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York. If you’ve never heard of Mohonk, please have a peek at my other photos, mainly from winter. Put it in your life list.

I like the creepy rocking chairs at the bottom, toward the middle. Evocative of “Fall of the House of Usher,” to me, which I saw as a young child. “Fall of the House of Mohonk” would be good title. I might make this into a puzzle for a Mohonk fan.
Recent additions to my Mohonk gallery. Not a white Christmas, but always festive. And like all Mohonk experiences, filled with three filling meals per day. It will take several lifetimes of fasting to return to normal fighting weight.
Featured photo below is my lame attempt at graham cracker house. Ho, ho, ho.
