Camel cricket

Photograph of a camel cricket in my basement. I’ve been spending a lot of quality time with them lately as I attempt to repair decaying mortar in my basement. There are sometimes thousands of them down there during the monsoon season here (Swarthmore, Pennsylvania). Because several people ask me about them every year, I decided to type up some thoughts on how to get rid of them. The thoughts are at “Getting rid of camel crickets,” if you’re interested.
