Happy Fountain Pen Day, folks

Most pen and ink geeks already know, but just in case you didn’t the get memo, November 1st is Fountain Pen Day.  In honor of the day, I thought I’d show off my favorite fountain pen, the Namiki (Pilot) Vanishing Point. The photograph below shows the nib retracting (hence the blur).  I own two of these pens. One is usually filled with Noodler’s Cayenne (yellow pen); the other, Noodler’s Bad Blue Heron. In years of daily use they have never leaked, even when I keep it my front pants’ pocket when I’m doing yard work.

Nib retracts into barrel with just a click. Photograph captures nib in motion, hence the ghosting. Filled with Noodler's Cayenne.
